Few more questions on GMITE admissions:

- Are outstation candidates given less preference during candidate selection process? I am from Mumbai.
Are there selected seats kept for outstation and local candidates?

- Is there an advantage if your company has sponsored you ? [I will think of approaching my company/HR accordingly]

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ajay,

In the query list, I saw a query asking about the usefulness of GMITE course. In that context, it would be great if you share your role, when you joined GMITE. That will help us understand and compare how useful the course would be.

As you can understand, it makes lot of difference, when we know who/what the person is providing the comments. This helps to know from where the person is coming from.

Hi Ajay,
There are couple of questions related to GMITE. If you can answer them, will be a great help.

1) What is the methodology for evaluations/examinations which would be conducted during the course, if there is any? Subjective Questions or Objective questions?

2) How would logistics be arranged for such evaluations/examinations?

3) Is there any break possible between the course, in case of emergency and one can come back and rejoin the course?

Thanks
Rahul

I met some energetic and enthusiastic GMITE students today @ IIMB. I had gone there to attend a review of some of the project work done in Market Entry startegy for IT firms. There was a discussion/query around whether GMITE students will be part of the elite IIMB Alums. Request them to contact me in my gmail a/c. I would be able to offer some help here.

Hi,

I have around 8 years of experience in IT.I didn't have any managerial exposure but mostly on leading the team. I was shortlisted for the GMITE-6 programme.
1. How far the GMITE would help a guy to further progress in career ladder?
2. What are the advantages on gaining GMITE from IIMB?
Kindly provide your comments on the same.

Overall GMITE was a very good learning experience.
Truly,at the end of the day it depends on you that how you are going to utilize it for ur benefit. It can be a edge over others in face of competition or the learning will provide u a better insight to do things differently.
It does n't support placement, so definitely can't be treated as a quick career transformation tool.

My personal opinion is attending the classes physically (not over the web recording) is the USP for the course.
